For the first time in Spain, in Valencia, we can admire the largest retrospective of the work of Jaume Plensa (Barcelona, 1955), a Spanish plastic artist, sculptor and engraver, for whom we have designed all the graphics that accompany his exhibition, “Jaume Plensa. Poesía del silencio” that can be visited at the Fundación Bancaja until March 19, 2023.
We believe that for the graphic design of an exhibition to be effective, the most important component is, without a doubt, the way in which the space is dressed. When we were entrusted with the graphic design of the exhibition, we began a deep reflection and study on the work of Jaume Plensa, to make sure that the design exuded both the life and soul of the artist, as well as his entire artistic work, in order to make them stand out and be visible in their full effect.
The identity is designed to be flexible and adapt to different forms and locations. Derived from the
main poster, invitations, posters, banners, digital content for social networks, newspaper ads and more, were developed.
A 196-page catalog, bounded with a white cloth spine with black serigraphy that reflects the name of the artist and the exhibition, was also designed. When closed, the document is 22 centimeters wide and 25 centimeters tall, and the front and back covers are glued on cardboard. The idea and design shine on paper, from the contrast of black and white inspired by the essence and visual poetry of Jaume Plensa.
